The period between placing your order and receiving tracking information is often the most mysterious part of the Hipobuy process. Understanding warehouse workflows helps set realistic expectations.
The Warehouse Workflow
Your order passes through several stages at the Hipobuy warehouse. Each stage has a specific purpose and typical timeframe.
- Order submitted: System forwards your order to the seller
- Seller processing: Seller prepares and ships to warehouse (2-5 days)
- Warehouse receipt: Items arrive and are logged into inventory (1 day)
- QC photography: Staff photographs each item (1-2 days)
- Customer review: You approve or request changes (24-72 hours)
- Consolidation: Approved items are packed together (1 day)
- Shipping label: Carrier label created and package dispatched (1 day)
Storage and Hold Times
Hipobuy offers free storage for a set period. This allows you to accumulate items from multiple sellers before shipping.
| Stage | Typical Duration | Your Action Required |
|---|---|---|
| Order to seller | 2-5 days | None — wait |
| Seller to warehouse | 3-7 days | None — wait |
| QC processing | 1-2 days | None — wait |
| Customer review | 24-72 hours | Approve, exchange, or refund |

Common Warehouse Issues
Delays happen. Sellers may be out of stock, shipping to the warehouse can take longer than expected, or QC might reveal issues requiring your input.
